Tell me a little about what you currently do at JetCo Solutions.

As a Research Specialist, I support your company through every stage of the bidding process. My main priority is to be your matchmaker - I sift through the hundreds and thousands of open solicitations released by agencies daily and find those that match your capabilities and interests.

When we’re going after an opportunity, I want to know everything that will help you win. Who is the incumbent? How much was the previous award? What will be your optimal price-to-win? Every day, I help you answer these questions and more so that your business with the government is successful as can be.

What's your favorite aspect of being a Research Specialist?

I love learning about the industries that our clients are in. We don’t notice in our everyday lives the amount of work that goes into the products and environments we interact with. Learning the details in fields as diverse as metal fabrication, cybersecurity, transportation, and medical devices is fascinating. It makes me truly appreciate the work of those industry professionals I interact with daily.

If you could use three words to describe JetCo Solutions' clients, what would they be?

  1. Ready. Our clients are ready to win contracts and establish long, fruitful relationships with government agencies and industry partners. They know we’re here to help them every step of the way.
  2.  Receptive. Our clients understand that the world of government is full of complex language, acronyms, and forms that can be overwhelming to those just starting in government sales. They know we’re here for them because we understand how government talks and what they’re asking of you.
  3. Real. Our clients aren’t just a name on an email to us. They’re serious professionals juggling the many responsibilities of running a small business and aren’t hesitant to give us a quick call or shoot an email to have a candid talk about where we’re at in the bidding process. They’re not afraid to get down to brass tacks, and neither are we.

If you could describe the JetCo Solutions team in one word, what would it be?

Determined. We only win if you win, and we like to win. Your team at JetCo wants you to succeed at every step of the contracting process. We’re always in constant communication so we know exactly what to do and how to help you win every opportunity.

What makes JetCo Solutions different than other companies helping with government sales?

What makes our team different is that we listen. We want to know your business as well as you do. We want to know what your goals are, what your capabilities are, and what separates you from the rest of the pack. We tailor all levels of our support to this information - from research on your competitors or an incumbents’ pricing to developing relationships across agencies and industry partners, down to the bid proposals crafted to win a big contract.

Do you have a favorite client story or client win? If so, what is it?

For every client, my favorite story is the same - it’s the first time we sit down and talk about why they chose JetCo: telling us about who they are, what they do, and why they decided to take this next step in their business. I love meeting new people and learning about what their job is, and how they want to work with us.

If you could be any JetCo office dog, which one would you be and why?

This is definitely the hardest question so far. I would have to say Rue - she’s very calm and has no problem talking to you if you have food.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Given the situation we are all in with the coronavirus, I would like to give a thank-you to all of my coworkers and our clients for being accessible and resilient during these times. I really do appreciate the hard work that everyone is doing in this crisis and hope we all continue to stay safe and healthy!
